Carolyn Arterbury, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend was called to heaven on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the age of 63. A Rosary service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2746 E. Highway 86, Castle Rock, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Reverend George Reynolds, O.P. will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.p. at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home, 407 Jerry St., Castle Rock, Colorado. Carolyn Mae Keating was born on October 6, 1941 in Colorado Springs, CO the daughter of James F. and Leo (Neer) Keating. On April 7, 1961 she married William Lavon Arterbury in Colorado Springs at the Sacred Heart Church. Carolyn was a very faithful and prayerful woman; she cherished her family and grandchildren. She had many interests and especially enjoyed trips with her husband in their motor home. She also enjoyed working on her oil paintings, knitting; home improvements/decorating and she had a love for music. She was kind and witty, loving and caring. She was a friend to many and enjoyed get-togethers with a birthday club. Above all, she loved making memories with her family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock. Mrs. Arterbury is survived by her husband Bill of Castle Rock, children: Bill Arterbury, Jr., of Castle Rock, Barb Root and her husband Jim of New Jersey, Bob Arterbury and his wife Shannon of Arizona and Beth Metz and her husband Josh of Castle Rock. Eleven grandchildren: Olivia, Nicole, Dillon, Jimmy, Khristean, Michael, Jordan, Sydney. Jacob, Austin and Dustin. Three sisters: Ann Fisher of Colorado Springs, CO, Eileen Collins and her husband Chuck of Lake George, CO and Patty Robinson and her husband Dave of Littleton, CO. Eleven nieces and nephews also survive. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home, Castle Rock, CO.
