Daniel James Genoshe departed this life on July 5, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his wife of 35 years, Kathryn, by his side. Danny was born October 3, 1953, to John and Mary Genoshe, the eldest of 11 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary; and siblings: Paul, Patty, Jeffrey, and Joey. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Muckelrath) Genoshe; his children: Nicholas (Lindsey Morrow), Melissa, and David; as well as his granddaughter, Quinn Kathryn. He is also survived by his siblings: Ann Wasinger, Steve (Diane), Mike (Alan), Bill, John (Bonnie), and Chris (Johnny) Jacobsen. He is also survived by Kathryn's parents, George and Evelyn Muckelrath; Pam (Tom) Baynard, Alan, Ken (Teresa); and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Dan graduated from Mitchell High School in 1971. He served in the US Air Force and was stationed at Lakenheath AFB, England. Dan later earned his Bachelor's degree in Geophysics from the University of Utah, and his Master's degree in Management Information Technology from Colorado Technical University. He worked for Bendix as a Field Engineer doing Tracking Dynamics for the shuttle program. He later worked for McDonnell Douglas on the Space Station Freedom program, which is now the International Space Station. Over the last several years, he has been a Systems Analyst (Engineer) with Jacobs for the Department of Defense. Dan's hobbies included fishing, golfing and hanging out with his family. He loved talk radio and would often listen to it while gardening. He also loved working in his yard transforming it into a masterpiece. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 9 from 5-8 pm at Swan Law Funeral Home. Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 10, at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Reel Recovery, the , or Pikes Peak Hospice.
