Dennis Casper Janson, 66, passed away on November 7, 2013 in Loveland, CO. Dennis was born on April 8, 1947 to Alphonse Janson and Pauline (Schweiters) Janson in the small town of New Munich Minnesota. He spent most of his early years in Minnesota; graduated from Melrose High in 1965, and from St. Cloud State University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. |
In 1974 he met the love of his life Lorraine Groebner and on April 26, 1975 they were married in Burnsville, MN. Dennis was a very successful contract manager and after many years of moving all around the country they finally moved to Colorado in 1991 and have lived in Loveland for the past 7 years.
Dennis "retired" in 2010, but that didn't last long in 2012 he took a position at Prosci where he was treated like family. He often mentioned how it was the best job of his entire career. Dennis' favorite past times were camping and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed boating, stained glass and woodworking. He was a big fan of sports cars, motorcycles, power tools or anything with more power.
He was the most incredible man, a devoted son, brother, husband and loving father to his daughters and grandfather to his grandson. Dennis was a dedicated and hard-working man who was easily loved by co-workers. He loved life, had a great sense of humor and infectious jolly laugh. Dennis loved giving people a hard time. He was also a shoulder to cry on an ear to listen to any problem someone may have he was very gentle, sensitive and compassionate.
Dennis is survived by his mother Pauline Janson of Freeport, MN, his wife Lorraine of Loveland, daughters Tara Kiele of Colorado Springs, Holly Janson of Denver, grandson Caden Janson of Colorado Springs, brothers Tom Janson of St. Cloud, MN and his wife Martha Risch, Joe Janson of Austin, TX and his wife Kathryn Palmer as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Alphonse and his closest friend Bob Dunn.
Viewing at 9:30 followed by a funeral service on Wednesday November 13, 2013 at 10:30, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland where he was a member of the congregation. Celebration of life luncheon to follow.
