Age 74, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1971, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. She was a two time cancer survivor, an Air Force wife, mother and grandmother who retired after 15 years with Hewlett Packard Corp. Donna Marie Copenhaver was born on July 27, 1936 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, to the late Russell and Christine (Gillen) Copenhaver. She was a 1954 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She married her high school sweetheart Drexel R. Biddle on June 17, 1957 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. She was an active member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church for 40 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Drexel Biddle and three daughters, Denise (husband Bill) Myers of Parker, Colorado; Deanne Biddle of Greenwich, Connecticut; and Deborah (husband Donn) Turner of Austin, Texas. Donna has six wonderful grandchildren: Brittany, Elyse, Chelsea, Addie, Andrew and Daniel and one great granddaughter, Ella Donna. Donna has three sisters; Mary Lou Copenhaver, Rebecca Schreffler and Constance Copenhaver all residing in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother David. She will be best remembered for her faith, kindness and devotion to family and friends, and a love of travel. A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 N. Logan Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. Luncheon reception will follow the memorial service at the church. Interment services will occur at a future date at St. Marks Lutheran Cemetery, Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania. Memorials in Donna's name may be made to the , 1445 N. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
