Edith Lees Obituary

Edie was born in Longmont, Colorado on October 26, 1923 to Gred and Allena Erfert. She died on May 3, 2010. Her parents, two sisters and two brothers have predeceased her. Her children Roger, Debbie and Marty are also deceased. She is survived by her husband Bill, nephew Karl Dreher, niece Karen Smith, stepchildren Bill Lees, Mary Hawthorne, Barbara Lees, Julie Howell and Dana Smith. Edie attended her first twelve years of school in Longmont, Colorado and then graduated from the Colorado School of Nursing of the University of Colorado with a RNBS degree in 1946. Edie taught nursing at the now closed Seton School of Nursing at Penrose Hospital from 1964 to 1972. She then worked as an infection control Nurse at Penrose Hospital until her retirement in 1987. Edie enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and fishing at her and Bill's mountain cabin. She will be sorely missed. Edie was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1955. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Friday May 14, at 10:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian church Deacon's Fund.
