Frank Kaltenstein was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 8, 1921 and he died March 30, 2013 at age 91. He was in the Pacific area as a radio man with the 4th Marine Division during World War II. He was injured on Saipan for which he was awarded the Purple Heart. He married Charlotte Marshall on November 19, 1949 and they had two children. Frank worked as a union carpenter in Pennsylvania, Utah, Alaska, Oregon and Colorado for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He had a ham radio station in Colorado for 10 years. He was the last of 11 children and is survived by his wife, 2 children, 3 nieces and their families and a nephew and his wife. There will be cremation and no services. Many thanks to Aspen Living Center and Hospice for his care. He was a good man.
