Jarrod G. Nichols, 12, of Colorado Springs, died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Casper. Jarrod was born on November 25, 2000 in Fort Hood, Texas and had lived in Colorado Springs since 2008. He just completed the sixth grade at Carson Middle School and was a member of Stratmoor Hills United Methodist Church. Jarrod enjoyed video games, movies, and riding his bike. Jarrod loved to cook and wanted to become a chef. He is survived by his parents, Rod and Candace Nichols of Colorado Springs, and Abigail Nichols of Casper; three brothers: Noah Pasley of Colorado Springs, and Joshua Nichols and Logan of Casper; three sisters: Hannah Bryan of Casper, and Brinna Nichols and Destiny Lowe, both of Colorado Springs; grandparents: Janetta Prescott of Cheyenne; Gail and Jeb Filkins of Casper; and Rick and Evelyn Whitt of Providence Forge, Virginia; great grandmother, Virginia Nichols of Cheyenne; and a nephew, Dakota Bryan of Casper. Jarrod was preceded in death by a grandfather, Dallas Nichols; and a great-grandfather, Charles Nichols. Services will be on Monday, 1:00p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with Pastor Ray Galloway officiating. Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
