Jeanne Fenton, age 87, a 57 year resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on September 14, 2013 at a local hospice.

She was a homemaker, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend.
Evelyn Jeanne Merck was born on November 5, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late Frank and Susan Katherine (Morrison) Merck.
Jeanne was a member of Sunnyside Christian Church for 46 years where she was a member of the choir and played hand bells. She was a volunteer with the YMCA and taught exercise classes. Jeanne loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her six children: Leon (Punky) Fenton; Carol (Barry) Karper; Gary (Ronda) Fenton; Gregg (Debbie) Fenton; Mark (LaDeane) Fenton; and Susan (Michael) Loucks. She has ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Fenton, on February 1, 1983; and her grandson, Ryan Fenton, on March 11, 2010.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Sunnyside Christian Church, 2025 North Murray Boulevard. Private entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeanne's name may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.
