Joseph Francis Chisesi Obituary
A former Manitou and Colorado Springs resident, Joe died October 28th, 2013 in Lincoln, CA. He was 86. He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Second World War.

In 1970, Joe purchased the Silver Saddle Motel in Manitou which he and his family ran for 10 years. Active in the local community, Joe served as President of the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce and with the Pikes Peak Area Attractions Association. He was the original Pied Piper of Manitou, traveling to neighboring states to promote tourism during the gas shortages of the 1970's.

Joe was also an accomplished pianist and keyboard player and sang competitively in barbershop, both quartet and choir. Joe wrote and produced a celebration for the bicentennial of the US Constitution performed at the Pikes Peak Center.

Preceded in death by his wife Joan, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Catherine Norman, of Lincoln, CA and by his children Craig, Larry, Joe, Thomas, Diane, Daniel, Barbara and by 7 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Historic Community Congregational Church in Manitou on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 followed by burial in Crystal Valley Cemetery.
