Larry Garrison was born May 26, 1937, the son of Joseph Cloyd Garrison and Lillian Mae (Scholl) Garrison. Larry died unexpectedly from a fall in his home on April 11, 2014 he was 76.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rose Marie Garrison, their youngest Son Mykal Raymond Jon (15) in the home. Joseph Cloyd (Victoria) Colo Spgs, CO - Dominic Dexter (Teresa) Wakita, OK - Jon Wesley (Alison) Colo Spgs, CO - Mykia Marie (David) Smith Colo Spgs, CO.
Larry is also survived by one brother Don C. Garrison of San Antonio, TX; 5 Grandsons - Joseph S. (Crissy) Greeley, CO - Todd A. (Kristina) Henderson, CO - Christopher A. Cañon City, CO - Andrew J Cañon City, CO - Tyler Cañon City, CO; 3 Granddaughters - Lindsey Wakita, OK - Christina Wakita, OK - Madison Colo Spgs, CO; 3 Great Grandson's -- Celeb, Logan and George; 1 Great Granddaughter - Annabelle.
1 Grandson preceded him in death - Matthew also preceded him in death - 3 Sisters - Nellie, Susie and Anna - 2 Brothers Raymond and Bill.
Larry served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne and was a Ranger. Was also in the Korean War conflict.
Larry was a truck driver for Coca-Cola, Thacker Brothers (HVH) and retired after 20 years of service with ABF trucking (Teamsters Local 17).
Also worked as a ramp guard/film projectionist for Wesland drive-in theaters with sons Joe and Dom. This was one of the biggest highlights in his life to be able to work with his sons at the 21st drive-in.
Larry was a loving husband - Father - Brother - Uncle - Grandpa and Great Grandpa, always put his family before himself. Was known to be a good friend and a great person to know!

Larry was such a joy to me. I looked so forward to all appt's at the Dr's office when I got the chance to see Larry, tease him and hear old stories. I'm blessed to have known him. Prayers are sent to his family. May you rest in peace Larry my friend.
