Lilly May Gosnell-Elbe, a feisty spirit of youthful demeanor and sharp wit, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the age of 61.
Known to all for her sparkling blue eyes and contagious laughter, Lilly was delighted by music, football pools, racecars, socializing and taking hikes with her beloved husband, Jim. Fiercely loyal to her family and friends, "Nana Lilly" cherished time spent doting on her children and grandchildren.
Lilly, who hailed from Kansas, lived in Colorado Springs for 38 years. She retired from CIG after 21 years. Lilly exuded a proud and sassy personality, complete with finished hair, perfect makeup, manicured nails and a stunning, ever-present smile. Tenacious and honest, Lilly conquered life's struggles without complaint. She was a resilient and inspiring wife, mother, Nana and friend, who will be eternally missed and remembered by her husband, Jim Elbe; her daughters Promis Hoffman, Kiva Stiff and Koryn Kessler; her stepchildren Matt Elbe and Colleen Elbe; and her seven grandchildren.
