Louise Aleman 78 years old and a long time resident of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at her home on Sunday, May 18, 2014.

Ms Aleman is survived by her five children; Elizabeth 'Liz' Aleman, Marilyn Meisel, Ivan Aleman and Gilbert Aleman, all of Colorado Springs, and Cheryl Lopez of San Manuel, Arizona. Sisters Emma Trujillo/Colorado Springs, Viola Medina/La Junta, CO, Josie Villegas/Avondale and brother Gilbert 'Valdee' Valdez/La Junta. Seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Aleman
and her parents William and Genevieve Valdez.
Ms. Aleman worked for nearly 30 years at Walter Drake & retired from Ervite Manufacturing both in Colorado Springs, she was born in Walsenburg, CO., raised her children in Avondale and moved her family to Colorado Springs in 1963 where she fell in love with the beauty of the mountains and the bountiful opportunities to provide for her children. Her favorite recent hobby was making new friends at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center where she encouraged others to battle hard and provided them with hope as she had experienced.
Rosary will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am located at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1830 S. Corona St., Colorado Springs, CO.
