L.T Strickland, 84, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born June 3, 1929 in Village, Arkansas to the union of LC and Charcie Strickland. His parents preceded him in death; as well as his daughter, Margie Collins; sisters: Charsie M. Hildreth, Larnelle Kyle and Mae O. Smith; brother, George R. Morgan; son-in-law, Charles Collins. L.T Strickland resided in Colorado Springs since 1953. He proudly retired from Waste Management in June, 1991. He owned and operated his own trash company, L.T Trash, with his wife, Connie Strickland, until August 2010. L.T enjoyed hauling trash. He worked hard and played hard. He liked dancing, watching cowboy/western movies and being around family and friends so he could tell 'stories'. Later, he began to establish a relationship with God and read the Bible. L.T leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Connie Strickland; one son, Wallace (Punch) Strickland; one sister, Barbara Jean Strickland; four step-daughters: Natasha Edwards, Ticoa Thomas, ReShawnda Anderson, and Tiffany Mathews; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and loved ones. L.T will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Angelus Funeral Chapel, 1104 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Angelus Funeral Chapel, 1104 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, CO.
