Lyle Cox, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed in Colorado Springs, CO April 30, 2014. He passed peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's and in the end with cancer.

He was born in Yuma, Colorado, September 11, 1931 to Frank and Florence (Howell) Cox. He grew up on a farm with 5 siblings, he rode a horse to a one-room school house and later joined the Navy. Lyle attended school in Nebraska and later resided in Colorado Springs working as an Appliance Technician for Montgomery Ward for 30 years. His nickname was "Sunny" for his easy going nature and kind heart.
Lyle leaves behind his devoted wife, Betty of 54 years, daughter Melodee, grandchildren Laci and Danny and sister Donna Baier of Nevada and numerous nephews and nieces. Preceding him, son Steven, September 30, 2011.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer or cancer research.
