Lyman Brown, born December 9, 1924, passed peacefully on July 9, 2013. He is survived by his son, Donald Brown; wife, Linda; and two granddaughters, Hannah and Megan; also by a daughter, Beverly; her husband, Charles Casper; and three grandchildren: Vicki, Robert and Kimberly; and four great-grandchildren from his first marriage to Irene. He is also survived by a step-son, Ron Myers; his wife, Jan; and step-grandson, Wil; step-daughter, Linda Burrer and two step-granddaughters, Emily and Sarah. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene and second wife, Joyce. He was a very loving and loyal father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Lyman worked for over 50 years in the automotive business. He was extremely proud to be a WWII Marine Corp Veteran. Among his awards and medals, he was most proud to be awarded a battle ribbon for combat on Guam and Iwo Jima. A Memorial service for family and friends will be held at First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade on Thursday, July 25 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lyman Brown Memorial Fund at First Lutheran Church, 1515 North Cascade, Colorado Springs.
