Michael Weed joined our Heavenly Father after passing away at home March 26. He was born on September 13, 1964 at the Tachikawa Air Base in Tokyo, Japan to Martha Ann Weed (Castles) and Cecil Harold Weed. Though Michael traveled and lived in multiple places, he considered Winnsboro, SC his hometown. Michael graduated from Air Academy High school. He attended several different colleges as a part-time student while working. Michael worked in insurance for 17 years. He started in the mailroom and worked his way up to management and underwriting positions. Michael's passion of music could be seen in his drumming. He performed locally as a member of several different bands including Inertia, the Ineffable, and the Bad Land Blues Band. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Weed. He is survived by his daughter Kendra Weed of Colorado Springs, CO; his father Cecil Weed of Chapin, SC; his ex-wife Laura Weed of Colorado Springs, CO; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles; and his loving canine companions Max and Sam. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service and reception being held on Saturday, April 6th at 1pm at Evergreen Funeral Home - 1830 East Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs.
