Millicent Jeanne Loehr Obituary
Millicent Jeanne Loehr was born on December 19, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado, to Everett and Mildred Foss. On February 2, 2014, in Colorado Springs, Colorado Millicent was called home.

She was born into one of the founding families of Southern Colorado with a background rich in ranchers and farmers whom called Colorado home before it was a state. She was a Fowler Grizzly, class of 1955, attended Colorado State University, worked for the OSI (Air Force's Office of Special Investigations), and met her husband, K V Loehr, at a USO Dance. She continued to travel back and forth between Europe and Colorado until K V's retirement from the US Army in the mid 1970s. Upon her return to Colorado Springs she worked for Widefield School District and may or may not have played a small part in the naming of Mesa Ridge High School's mascot. Security Christian Church, now Pikes Peak Christian Church, was her place of worship and solace since the mid 1960s, where she held positions from secretary to trustee.

Millicent was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Ryan Nicholas Loehr. Millicent leaves behind her loving husband, her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother, Paul Foss, nieces, nephews and many friends. She will always be remembered for her smile, willingness to help others, and her strong faith in Christ.

The family will have a private celebration of life gathering at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, and in memory of her grandson, Ryan, whom she enjoyed watching participate in the Widefield Park and Rec sports programs, donations may be made to: Widefield Parks and Recreation's Aaron Gutierrez Scholarship Fund. http://cc.wsd3.schoolfusion.us/modules/cms/pages.phtml?pageid=172522&SID
