Peggy L. Collins, 62, of Dade City, FL and former Bradford County resident, took her final journey on Friday, October 11, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. |
Peggy was born in Sayre, PA, on July 14, 1951. She graduated from Athens Area High School in 1969 and joined the Navy. After her discharge, she attended college in Colorado Springs, CO where she received her RN degree. She retired from nursing after 20 years at Pasco Regional Hospital due to ill health.
She leaves behind her mother, Lorraine Collins of Dade City, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Chuck Welch of Dade City, FL; and twin brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Nedeen Collins of Williamsport, PA. She is also survived by two nieces and their spouses, two nephews and their spouses, and ten great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Percy E. Collins. According to her wishes, burial services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, in Bushnell, FL, at 2:30pm on Friday, October 25, 2013. The family will provide flowers.
