Robert D. Haring, age 88, born January 7, 1925 in Hillburn, NY passed away at home in Colorado Springs on June 11, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen M. Haring (Webster); his father, Earle V. Haring; and his wife, Doris E. Haring. Bob served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was stationed in England when he met his wife, Doris E. Parmenter. They were married June 5, 1945 in Cornwall, England. He was honorably discharged from the Army Air Corp and enlisted in the Air Force. After returning to the States, Bob and Doris lived in New Jersey, Long Island and then transferred to Colorado Springs in 1951. He retired from the Air Force and worked as a Civil Servant until his retirement in 1986. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Haring; 4 children: Craig Haring (Christine), Kim Haring (Jan), Scott Haring (Debi) and Julie Vetack (James); 5 grandchildren: Kurtis, Aaron, Evyn, Jensa and Natalie. He loved Colorado and spent much of his free time exploring mountain trails to hike and lakes to fish. He had a fond place in his heart for Barr trail where he hiked year round. He had a great sense of humor even when the laughter was at his expense. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, as a gentle, kind man who always put others in front of himself. Services will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00AM.
