Roy A. Griggs Jr. was born December 9, 1982 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Colonel Roy and Cherlyn Griggs and died on September 12, 2013.
The Guest Book is expired.
His dad was in the military, therefore he moved frequently - which was not one of his favorite things to do as he did not like making new friends. This is a far cry from the man he turned out to be.
The Roy that we all know and love was a kind-natured individual and had an infectious personality that made him a joy to be around. You could always count on him to be the life of the party.
Roy was a graduate of Liberty High School and continued his studies at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada (UNLV) where he graduated with degrees in Urban Studies, Hospitality & Restaurant Management, and Business Management.
He is survived by his parents, Colonel Roy and Cherlyn Griggs, his sister Rhynel Evans, his nephew Dallas Evans, his niece Dominique Evans, his Godmother Gille M. Pinkney, and his Godfather Dante Griggs and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.
Public visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 20th with funeral service at 11:00 AM, Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 3615 Vickers Drive, Colorado Springs.
