Ruby Selix-McPhilomy, passed away peacefully at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 28, 2013. She was born in Joplin, Missouri on July 12, 1932. She was married to James Selix, who preceded her in death in 1971. She later married Mac McPhilomy. Mac died in 2009. |
Ruby's family all considered her a domestic goddess. She was a very loving wife and mother. Her greatest joy was her family. Ruby enjoyed crocheting and her beloved Denver Broncos, particularly John Elway.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Donnelly, sons Michael (Jackie) Selix and Patrick (Tina) Selix, sisters Reeka, Linda, Evelyn, Ruth, Shirley and grandchildren Jessica Donnelly, Stephanie Palu, James Selix, Joey Selix, Ashlie Steele, Mike Selix, Nicolas Selix, and Jaime Donnelly and 11 great grandchildren.
Her granddaughter Jessica preceded her in death.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013, Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers make donations to the James M. Selix, Chapter of Loyal Order of the Purple Heart, 2 Carson Blvd., Fountain, CO 80817.
The world will truly miss her infectious laugh and twinkling eyes.
