Scharlayne Allison, age 68, passed away peacefully September 7, 2010 at home with her family surrounding her. She was a Colorado Springs, Colorado resident since 1984. Scharlayne was born June 16, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Eleanor (Kuzel) Ryan. Scharlayne enjoyed painting ceramics, listening and dancing to music, and was a very hard worker. She loved to laugh and thought of herself as a comic with the wisdom of Ann Landers. She thoroughly loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Mike Allison: children Tony (Theresa) Robles of Chicago, Illinois, Jimmy(Tammi) Hersrud of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Debra Hall and son-in-law Michael Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Richard (Amy) Hersrud of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Christine Magur and Jeff Sanchez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Steven (Liz) Magur of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Joseph Magur of Colorado Springs, Colorado: grandchildren Eric, Jamie, Ashley, Justin, Cory, Zack, Jacob, Sarah, Joey, Alyssa, Devin, Justin, Cole, Isabella. We will miss you Grandma Monka! She will also be missed by her favorite dog in the world, Molly Kathleen. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday September 9, 2010 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Shrine of Remembrance â€œAmerica the Beautifulâ€ Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
