Stanley Eugene Call, of Katy, Texas, went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening, the ninth of November, after a long fight with leukemia and other complications. Stan was born in Milliken, Colorado in 1938 to George and Inez Call. |
After high school, he joined the navy and served during the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis in 1958. Stan left the navy and began a long and distinguished career with the US Department of Agriculture, retiring after over thirty years of service.
In January 2012, Stan and his wife, Karen, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Stan's passing will be mourned by Karen; two sisters, Colleen and Marilyn who live in Colorado; Wendy Tebo, a daughter from Katy; Jason Call, a son from Chesapeake, Virginia; and eight grandchildren and many others whose lives he touched. Stan had a life-long love of animals.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, with Rev. Erik Stadler officiating.
