Virginia L. Filler died March 18th, 2014 in Colorado Springs, the result of a stroke. She was born Virginia Lee Rea on January 5th,1928 in York, Nebraska.

Following high school, she enrolled in airline school and upon graduation was hired by American Airlines in Denver, Colorado, where she met Robert L. Filler whom she married on May 11th, 1948.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Filler, her parents, Robert and Margaret (Friel) Rea, sister Dorothy, and brother Dean.
She is survived by brothers Robert (Judy) and James (Arlene), her daughters Dara Hoffman and Jo Nestor and sons Michael (Ellen) and Daniel (Kim), seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Virginia served as a volunteer at Divine Redeemer Church and for Penrose hospital for over 18 years. She loved to dance and travel with her husband, play cards with friends, and was dedicated to her faith, family and friends.
Visitation/Rosary at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs will be from 6:30-8:00pm on Tuesday, March 25th. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 North Logan Avenue, Colorado Springs on March 26th at 10am.
