Woody Gentzel, a former Colorado Springs resident, passed February 28th, 2013 in Sun Lakes, Arizona after a brief battle with Leukemia. He retired from Metso Minerals (formerly Denver Equipment), and had moved to Arizona with his wife, Janet (Harrison) Gentzel, who survives. Woody loved working on cars of any kind, and was always happy to be at a racetrack. He was a good friend, and will be missed by many. He is survived by his children, Dustin Gentzel, Tracy Hermanstorfer, and Lori Gentzel and their families. He has two nephews, Todd Gentzel and Troy Gentzel and their families. He is also survived by a sister, Becky Hughes of Davidson, Michigan and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Margaret Gentzel, a sister Betty Gentzel, brother Bill Gentzel, and aunt Margaret Grant. His family will come together to share the good times at the home of Dustin Gentzel on Saturday, March 16th. If you would like information, please email dksgentzel@aol.com.
