I am the artist that just received the Mary Ann Bransby Memorial Award at the Colorado Springs Art Guild 2011 show today. I cannot express the humility and gratitude I feel for receiving this award. As I read Ms. Bransby's memorial, there are contacts in our lives that I never knew, but find suprising now. I know of her legacy in the art community and can only be stunned at being acknowledged in her name. Thank you to Ms. Bransby and her family for working for the good benefit of their community.

How do you try to express in artful terms your respect and importantly ones attempt to understand the passion and excitement Mary Ann always presented when talking about The Arts. A tremendous loss to the Colorado Springs creative community.
Eric are best thoughts are with you.

Dear Eric and Fredericka,
The "forceful line" noted by Mark Arnest was evident not only her art but in her character as well. She was a strong woman with a strong love for her husband, her daughter, and her art. She will be missed. I send my thoughts and prayers to you, inheritors of her strength.
