Kenneth Scot Stauffer, 50, beloved husband, father, grandfather and son passed away suddenly on the 5th of May at his home in Roswell, Georgia. Ken was born July 31, 1962 in Bethlehem, PA. He proudly attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, where he competed as a wrestler and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1985. While serving in the Air Force he met and married the love of his life, and together they raised three beautiful children. After completing his military service he began a career in the food equipment industry with United Restaurant Supply. In 2011, Ken accepted a position as Southern Region Sales Director with the Hobart Corporation. Ken loved the outdoors. On his best days, he could be found in a river somewhere wading upstream with his fly rod. He was a man of deep faith, who was known for his wicked sense of humor and lasting friendships. He cared passionately about his children, spending many of his nights and weekends at his younger son's and daughter's soccer games, known for his emphatic pre-game pep talks and his post-game analysis. He was exceedingly proud that his older son followed in his footsteps with military service. Ken is survived by his parents, Kay and Sherwood; his wife, Ellen; his son, Kenneth Scot and wife, Jessie; and grandson, Atticus; his son, William and wife, Chelsey; beloved daughter, Margaret; a brother, Barry Stauffer; a sister, Stacy Ross & husband, Jeff; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m, Saturday, May 18th at the First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs on Bijou Street. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Ken's name at www.projecthealingwaters.org in memory of this very special man.
