Wilbur M. Ballard passed away on May 19th, 2013. Wilbur was born March 19, 1930 in Nebraska but grew up and spent most of his life in various locations throughout Colorado. After serving in the Army for two years, he went to work for the Colorado Forest Service. It was there at Imbodens Cafe in Lake George, CO that he met his future wife of 57 years, Martha Lowe. Wilbur and Martha married November 20, 1955 in Huntley, Nebraska and soon after started their family and eventually settled down in Colorado Springs, CO, where he spent his remaining years. Wilbur's greatest accomplishment was his dedication as a husband and father. His love and compassion was evident to all that knew him, and he will be desperately missed. Wilbur is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha; son, Jody; daughter, Vicki; grandchildren, Jennifer & husband, Michael; Craig & wife, Shawna, Brittney; 2 great grandchildren, Angeline & Lila Dawn; sister, Carol and brother, Bud.
