Ltc. Harry M. Anderson (Ret.) of Colorado Springs passed away at home on May 15, 2013. He was 82. Born in Chicago, Illinois on March 27, 1931, Ltc. Anderson served 24 years in the US Army. He served one tour of duty in Korea in the artillery, and three tours of duty in Vietnam as an infantry commander. Later he served in Germany and all over the United States. After retiring from the armed forces, Ltc. Anderson was an owner-operator for North American Vanlines for 20 years, where he was ranked number one in the fleet and drove over one million accident-free miles. In 1959, Harry and his wife, Wanda, were founding members of St. Raphael's Episcopal Church in Colorado Springs. In January of 2013, Harry and Wanda celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Harry is survived by Wanda; four children; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 10 am at St. Raphael's Episcopal Church, 802 Leta Dr. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80911. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund at St. Raphael's.
