Dorothy Cleo 'Jones' Plummer, 77, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014. Dorothy was born March 10, 1936 in Palmetto, Florida. She was the only child of Annie Laura 'Jones' McCray, the granddaughter of Hattie 'Aldridge' Jones and Jefferson Jones, the great granddaughter of Luvinia 'Bellamy' Aldridge and the great-great granddaughter of Solomon and Effie Bellamy.

Dorothy attended Liberty City Elementary and Dorsey High school in Miami and graduated from Trenton Central High School in New Jersey. She would go on to attain her nursing degree from Trenton State College and later, her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from The University of Southern Colorado.
Dorothy was an extremely hard worker and over the years worked as a supervisor at New Jersey State hospital, as Director of Nursing at Schuyler Senior Citizens Home in Schuyler, NE, a RN at the University of Nebraska, St. Francis and Fitzsimmons hospitals in Colorado and at Ft. Carson Army hospital for nearly 27 years.
She was an avid Broncos fan, who never missed a home game. She loved to travel and could often be seen reading her Bible before falling asleep.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Williams; her daughter, Crystal Stokes; and her long time partner, Hosea Haynes.
She is survived by her sons, Charlester Williams and Al R. Plummer II; her grandchildren, An'del (and his wife Zenobia) Jones-Foster, Daithan Kitchens, and Kristian Kitchens, Julian Moeller Plummer and Ben Moeller Plummer; her great grandchildren, Akeem, Alex, Nafirian, Seniya and Nasani.
Visitation will be held on February 28, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Internment will follow at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34222.
