Corlyn E. (Weimer) Wolverton age 94, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother entered into the joy of eternal life on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born in Winona, Minnesota on April 16, 1919, the eighth of eight children.

Corlyn was preceded in death by her parents, all seven siblings and her husband of 56 years, Harrie E. Wolverton.

She was a loving mother to Harrie Wolverton of Baton Rouge, LA; Steven (Betty) Wolverton of Sargents, CO; Lyn (Gil) Hale of Colorado Springs, CO; Gayle (Rick) Cossey of Lake Charles, LA; beloved grandchildren Bryan, Michael, Kerri & Tammy; step-granddaughters Michele, Kathy, Debbie; precious great-grandchildren Shalece, Kirra, Caeden, Ciera, Gracey and Beckett. Family and friends were very important in Corlyn's life and she loved them all dearly.

Corlyn spent her entire childhood and young adult years in Winona, MN and remarked many times that she didn't know there was any other place in the world until she married Harrie on May 16, 1943, and they moved to various cities and towns in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, New Mexico and finally Colorado Springs, CO in 1962.

Corlyn worked at various jobs including a jewelry store, Truckers Union, church secretary, Executive Secretary for Santa Fe, NM Social Services Department and Civil Services Executive Secretary retiring at the age of 75. She also volunteered at her beloved Immanuel Lutheran Church of Colorado Springs as well as the Immanuel pre-school, the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Colorado and various other locations. After retirement, Corlyn worked as a babysitter for several agencies in Colorado Springs and as a sales clerk at the Holly Leaf gift shop.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Eternal Life is scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 846 E. Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Corlyn may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 846 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
