Olive M. Bowden passed away at home in Colorado Springs, March 3, 2014.

She was born October 12, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio to Claude and Lillian Sorden, and was married to an Air Force officer and pilot, Frank Bowden, for thirty-two years.

Olive grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and was a member of the Highland Baptist Church. Later she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduated from the University of Albuquerque in 1972 with an Associate's Degree in nursing followed by graduating cum laude in 1975 with a Bachelor's Degree in University Studies, as well as Master Equivalency in University Studies. But most of all, she lived for and loved her family and family gatherings. She loved to organize family reunions, holidays and special occasion dinners.
