Beloved, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Nebas (Nieves) Martinez Ramirez Sr., 83 years old of Colorado Springs, CO passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2014.

Nebas was born on August 6, 1930 in La Junta, Colorado to parents Ysaac Ramirez and Nazaria Martinez Ramirez. He was one of 19 siblings. Nebas is survived by wife of 62 years Jennie Clara Ramirez. He was father of 7 children - Michael (deceased),Cynthia, Lorraine, Patrice, Nebas Jr., Anthony and Joseph. Nebas was grandfather of 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Nebas served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne, retired as a Sgt. Major. Recipient of the Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Korean Service Medal. Nebas graduated from Pikes Peak Community College with an Associates in Accounting. Nebas and family had lived in North Carolina, Alaska and Colorado. He was an avid salmon fisherman. He was an artistic craftsman demonstrated by his ceramics and award winning cross stitch. He loved dancing, Spanish music but most of all his family.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Monday, April 28th at 10:00 am. Funeral procession will follow to Evergreen Cemetery.
