Inge Marie Felps was born in K?nigsberg, East Prussia (known today as Kaliningrad, Russia) to Hermann and Lisbeth.

Inge was the youngest and last remaining survivor of her family.

Prior to World War II, Inge was attending college pursuing an education in meteorology. World War II cut that pursuit short. After World War II, Inge met the love of her life, which garnered a long and happy marriage lasting over 50 years. With this marriage, Inge's priorities shifted to supporting her husband in his military career and to her family and then, later in life to her grandson.

Inge loved classical music and at times dabbled into listening to jazz and the blues.

Inge in her long life met with some hardships, but never complained, never gave up and was a hard worker.

Inge was preceded in death by her parents Hermann and Lisbeth; 3 brothers Fritze, Paul and Hans and three sisters, Margitta, Elisabeth and Lene as well as her beloved husband Richard.

She is survived by her daughter Margitta (Merton) Beanblossom, a son Mike Felps and grandson Richard.

I can remember our mom saying "don't sweat the small stuff" and "whatever job you are given, make it your best effort no matter how menial it might be".
