Nick Uberecken, age 22, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs passed away tragically on Thursday morning, August 21, 2014 as a result of a motorcycle -vehicular accident. He was a server at Uncle Sam's Pancake House and a Diesel Technology Student at Pikes Peak Community College. He was a very hard worker and would have graduated in May.

Nicholas Russell Uberecken was born on March 29, 1992 in Colorado Springs. He attended schools in Manitou Springs and Coronado High School. He was an avid snowboarder who loved all things Colorado, cars, four-wheeling, camping and his wonderful family.
He is survived by his mother: Debra Standard of Colorado Springs; his fiancé: Jordan Shinkle; his sister: Shauna Uberecken and his maternal grandparents: Ray and Diane Uberecken; and his uncle: Rick Uberecken.
He is also survived by his two Dachshunds: "Geoffrey" and "Chloe."
Memorial Services will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at The Springs Funeral Services Chapel, 3115 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
The family asks that memorials be made in Nick's name to the National Mill Dog Rescue or to the charity of the giver's choice.
