Stephen Charles Parker, 80, peacefully passed away on May 18, 2009 in Fernley, Nevada. Steve was born October 13, 1928 to George W. Parker and Florence (Sampson) Parker. He was married August 17, 1948 to Ruth Heid for 51 years. He is survived by his children Carol (Donald) Dye, Charles (Eileen) Parker, Kris Parker of Colorado Springs and Karen (Scott) Hermann of Fernley, Nevada; grandchildren Lynn (Michael) McClure, Joyce (JR) Hicks, Randy (Lorie) and Harry Rinke, Darlene (Allen) Hayes, Meredith, William and Emily Parker, Carla (Marty) Makrdichian, Vincent and Samantha Orr, Rick (Jennifer) Dye, Robin (Phil) Barstow; sister Charlene Miller; sister-in-law Judy Heid; brother-in-law Robert (Gladys) Burkepile; 29 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth; sister, Helen Burkepile; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Ross and Dorothy Skinner, Rodney and Lois Rock, Fred Heid, John Miller, a niece and a nephew. He worked for the Rio Grande Railroad retiring after 43 years. He also enjoyed traveling and worked delivering trailers all over the country. He also enjoyed gambling and spent a lot of time in Nevada and Cripple Creek.
