Andrew F. Hillhouse, a native of Colorado and longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away February 3, 2010 in Colorado Springs at the age of 79. He was born on his family homestead at Green Ridge near Phippsburg, CO. Andrew graduated from Colorado Springs Bible School and joined the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Teresa Hillhouse January 29, 1963. He is survived by his wife, Teresa, daughters Lee Hillhouse and Lorrie Bush of Colorado Springs, son Daniel Hillhouse of northern Colorado and sister Mary Myrick of Portland, OR. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Melissa, Jeff, Sarah, Andy, Cordell, Trinidy, and one great grandson, Jayme, all of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank C. and Zelma R. Hillhouse, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a professional country-western musician for many years, as well as an employee of the United States Air Force Academy. He loved the mountains of Colorado and spent much time there teaching his children to fish and enjoy nature. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. Services will be held at Mountain View Wesleyan Church, 3445 Oro Blanco Dr., Colorado Springs at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 8th.
