Freida was born in Kendrick, Colorado to Henry C. and Elizabeth (Karle) Heidt. She was married for 68 ½ years to Henry M. Brown. After retiring from the USAF, they moved to Colorado Springs in 1975. They were faithful members of the Calvary Baptist Church. Freida is survived by her daughter and son-in-law LaDora and Miles Hubert Griffin of Colorado Springs and son and daughter-in-law Wally and Beverly Brown of Mahomet, Illinois. Also surviving are five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters, a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers, Ernest and Edward Heidt. Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. Tuesday June 22, 2010 with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Entombment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church at 1712 S. Corona Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906 or the charity of your choice. Gosh mom, we are going to miss you!
