Luis Cuebas Obituary

Pastor Luis Felipe Cuebas died on November 21, 2011 in Brentwood, Tennessee. Luis, born in Puerto Rico, moved to Colorado in 1977. He and his wife of almost 40 years, Marilia Nin Cuebas, raised their two boys in Colorado Springs. In 1987, Luis was ordained and served as Senior Pastor of Hosanna Christian Church until a year prior to his death. Pastor Luis also served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He earned several medals including a Purple Heart. Pastor Luis' first love was the Lord Jesus Christ and he diligently preached and lived the Word of God. Pastor Luis will be remembered as a loving, praying man. He is in the presence of his Lord, worshipping Jesus for all eternity. Pastor Luis is survived by his widow, Marilia and two sons, Luis Omar Cuebas and Carlo Luis Cuebas, and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 29th at 3:00 p.m. at Living Hope Covenant Church, 6750 N. Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs. Donations can be sent to Hosanna Christian Church (5010 Filarees Cir. Colorado Springs, CO 80917-1321) to benefit Pastor Luis' family.
