Ed Capesius, age 80, a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012. He was a retired high school math teacher and financial planner. He also owned a Shaklee business for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, playing scrabble, reading, spending time with his grandchildren, exercise and watching sports. He is survived by his wife Joan Capesius, his sister Joann Garrett and his three daughters, Peggy Charron (husband Dan), Linda Miranda (husband Jorge) and Sally Bryan (husband Clint). He was loved by eight grandchildren Danny Charron, Darcy Rump, Jennifer Miranda, Philip Bryan, Jonathan Miranda, Abby Bryan, Joshua Miranda, James Miranda. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Joy Capesius; and his sister Caroline Ostertag. The celebration of life will be held at Broadmoor Community Church, Friday, April 6th at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Faith Outreach Ministries, 1616 Arizona Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
