Marion Ruth (Woelke) Bramschreiber was born on September 25, 1932 in Pigeon, Michigan. She died unexpectedly on November 20, 2012. Marion attended a Lutheran grade school where she was taught by her father. She graduated from Pigeon High School and earned an education degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio - a Lutheran school. Shortly afterward, she taught in Woodville, Ohio. Marion was the youngest of three sisters and two brothers. Her sister Mildred and brothers Ted and Art preceded her in death. She is survived by her sisters Betty and Trudy. All four sisters celebrated their 50th wedding anniversaries. Marion married Jerome Bramschreiber in 1955 and taught in Cincinnati for four years while her husband attended medical school. She taught until the birth of a daughter, Kristi, in 1959. She remained in Cincinnati until 1963 while Jerome received four years of medical training. In 1963 they moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin where her husband practiced medicine. They adopted two boys, Jeffrey and Eric, while in Green Bay and gave birth to another son, Terry. In 1973 the family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Marion was very active at Ascension Lutheran Church over the last forty years. She sang in the choir and was instrumental in developing the Interfaith Hospitality Network where she and her husband would cook and feed homeless families. Marion also worked for the district attorney's office and taught as a secondary substitute teacher until the time of her death. Marion was also an eight year breast cancer survivor. Marion enjoyed helping her husband in his woodworking and helped him publish a cookbook in 2007. Jerome will miss his constant helpmate who always stood by his side through 37 years of practice and 57 years of marriage. Among her great loves were her children, 5 grandchildren, soap operas, Red Hats, travel, and the Green Bay Packers. She was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
