Thomas, age 52, died suddenly of an apparent blood infection. Tom, born in Livonia, Michigan, grew up in Farmington, Michigan. He attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grade School and graduated from Farmington High School in 1979 before attending and graduating from Western Michigan University with a BBA in 1983. Tom achieved his MBA in 1990 from Golden Gate University. Tom's employment started with Ford Aerospace in Santa Clara, California, where he met his wife, Kathy, and her son Brent. Thomas and Kathleen married and their daughter Brittany was born in 1992 before the family moved to Colorado Springs in 1993. Tom held a number of positions in the Colorado Springs aerospace industry with Lockheed Martin, RS Information Systems, SI International and settling in as a Business and Finance Manager for Northrop Grumman. Tom was preceded in death by his father in 1986 and his mother earlier this year. Tom is survived by his loving daughter Brittany Bremer, step-son Brent Moniz, and his ex-wife Kathy. Tom, the youngest of six children, is also survived by his siblings and their families: Michael (Linda), Cheryl, Robert (Suzanne), Barbara (George Kappus), and Richard (Kathleen). The Bremer family has been very involved in the Colorado Springs area. They are founding members of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Tom was active with the Council 12335 of the Knights of Columbus since 2007 and achieved the level of 4th Degree in 2009. Tom and Kathy also sponsored U.S. Air Force Academy Cadets in their home. Tom was honored to be involved in a variety of non-profit organizations. Tom and his family have been supported by a large network of local friends and maintained strong ties to longtime friends and business acquaintances from across the country. Visitation Services will be held Thursday evening, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Swan Law Funeral Home, located at 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A short viewing will be held on Friday from 8:30 to 9:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, located at 8755 Scarborough Drive, Colorado Springs. The family requests your attendance at a luncheon held immediately following the mass at the church and hosted by the Daughters of Mary.
