Steve Spoto, originally from the Bronx , NY, packed up after a 2 week vacation and moved his family to Colorado in 1972. He moved to his "country" home in Black Forest in 1976 where he raised his 5 children with his long time wife Bonnie. He is preceded in death by his first wife Frannie, mother of his 3 boys, daughter Dawn and sister Josie. Steve was a meat cutter that learned his trade in a small meat shop in the Bronx. He was the proud owner of "Spoto's" meat processing business that specialized in game processing where he shared his love of hunting and listened to everyone's tales. His passion in life were getting up in the mountains to get away from the crazies in the city, to go hunting, fishing, and 4 wheeling down roads he created himself. He had an exuberance for life and enjoyed making his long time friends and family laugh with his repeated funny saying and songs to match any phase you would say. He is survived by his 3 sons, Stephen his wife Jeanette, Joe his wife Kelli, and John. As well as 2 daughters Sara her husband Dan, and Lisa. Also his grandchildren Allisa, Doug, Shawn, Anthony, Shelby, Jordan, Christian and Jake. Visitation will be at Evergreen Funeral Home, January 8, at 11:00am. Service to follow at 1:00pm.
