The Lord called to Jeanne on Wednesday to be with her mother, father, brothers, and sister. Jeanne was born in Cloverdale, California on May 8, 1956. Jeanne was raised in Oregon and Washington and attended school in both until her graduation from Grandview High School in Grandview, Washington in 1975. Jeanne worked as a Nurse's Aide until her receipt of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from Yakima Valley Community College (Yakima, Washington). Her love of nursing took her from the Yakima Valley to Colorado Springs, Colorado in August of 1990 where she practiced until she was no longer able to meet the physical demands of the profession in 2006. Jeanne was preceded in death by her mother Josie Arambarri, father William E. Atwood Sr, brothers Joseph E. and William E. Jr, and sister Diane Atwood. Jeanne is survived by her daughter Josie of Colorado Springs, sister Elizabeth Conklin of Walla Walla, Washington, brother Tom and Tom's wife Maureen of Colorado Springs, and sister-in-law Gayle Atwood of Spokane, Washington. Jeanne touched many lives in her short time with us and will be missed. Memorial Services will be held at the Colorado Springs Apostolic Church, 2217 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Colorado Springs Apostolic Church, 2217 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
