Glenn Allen "C.B." Stedman(1967 - 2013)

EASTHAMPTON - Glenn Allen "C.B." Stedman, of Easthampton, passed away Jan. 22, 2013, at his home.

Glenn was born Dec. 8, 1967, in Springfield.

Glenn was a talented chef, a hard worker and an animal lover. As a child he played hockey and baseball for a variety of Easthampton teams. He also grew up a dirt bike enthusiast. When he was very young, his impish smile and rosy cheeks reminded his family of the cartoon character, Charlie Brown and earned Glenn the nickname of C.B.

While C.B. suffered many challenges throughout his life, he never lost his sweet spirit and gentle compassion for others. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.

C.B. was predeceased by his beloved mother Janette Stedman Bennett of Easthampton, who passed away in June 2012.

He is survived by three sisters, Lynne Richard of Maine, Bonnie Mathias of Webster and Kim Hackworth of Easthampton; a brother Michael Stedman of Cambridge; five nieces and nephews, Robert Mathias of Ludlow, Jennifer Hackworth of Oregon, Melissa Stedman of Colorado and A.J. and Delaney Hackworth both of Easthampton; and two great-nieces, Madison and Cameron Mathias of Ludlow.

A commemoration of his life is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Mitchell Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. Mitchell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
