ENFIELD, Conn. - Irene A. (Vanderlick) Dzialo Malinoski, 88, of Enfield, formerly of Northampton, Mass., and beloved wife of the late Stanley Dzialo, who died in 1964, and Alfred J. Malinoski, who died in 1992, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Northampton, a daughter of the late John and Clementine (Tudryn) Vanderlick. Irene was educated from the Northampton school system and attended Northampton High School.
She was a longtime communicant and former Confraternity of Christian Doctrine teacher at Holy Family Church in Enfield.
Irene was employed for many years at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Enfield before retiring to take care of her precious grandchildren.
She would look forward to Sunday afternoons conversing and visiting with her older sister, Carol. Irene's greatest passion in her lifetime were the moments she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four loving children, Inez Landers, Darlene Dzialo and her boyfriend Kevin Jones, Gregory Dzialo and his wife Jean, and Kim Dzialo all of Enfield; her step-children, James Malinoski and his wife Sue of Pelham, Ala., John Malinoski of Enfield, Stephen Malinoski and his wife Darlene of Birmingham, Ala., and Nancy Malinoski of Enfield; 14 treasured grandchildren, Gina Weeks, Jessica Martin, Josh and Trevor Dzialo, Rachel Dzialo, Samantha and Olivia Lee, Stephen James, Sara, Andrew and Elizabeth Malinoski, April, Jodie and Jeremy Frizzell; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Cassidy Weeks; three sisters, Carol Kozik of Chicopee, Mass., Rosalie Rowley of Winsted and Alice Krzanowski of Easthampton, Mass.
She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Vanderlick; and her sisters, Helen Altimari and Dorothy Raskevitz.
Her funeral will be held Friday, March 1 at 9 a.m. from the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, with burial to conclude at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, all in Enfield. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m.
