EASTHAMPTON - Louise Marguerite (Chartier) Hebert, 74, of Easthampton and a longtime former resident of Chicopee, died on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a courageous four month battle with ovarian cancer.
For 30 years she worked as the city's public health inspector for the city of Chicopee.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Roger A. Hebert, on July 26, 2004.
Louise is survived by her loving family: two daughters, Susan Pouliot and her husband Daniel of Easthampton and Lisa Hebert and her spouse Gina McNeely of Conway; one son, Michael J. Hebert of Easthampton; two grandchildren, Gina Robert and her husband Thomas of Westfield and John Ferraro of Easthampton; one brother, Roger Chartier and his wife Jackie of South Hadley; three sisters, Gloria Berard of Agawam, Suzanne Chaffee and her husband Nelson of Brimfield and Charlotte Lawrence of Westfield and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial liturgy for Louise will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, 33 Adams Street, Easthampton on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Graham Funeral Home, 18 Adams Street, Easthampton. The Graham Funeral Home has been entrusted with providing for Louise's care and services.
