Phyllis (Domina) Brown

EASTHAMPTON - Phyllis (Domina) Brown, 91, of Loomis House in Holyoke and formerly of Easthampton, passed away March 17, 2013, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton.

Born in Montgomery Center, Vt., the daughter of the late Lewis and Lena (Lumbra) Domina.

Phyllis was a 21 year nursing assistant at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and retired in 1984.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of The Valley Church.

Phyllis was married to the late Robert Brown, who passed away in 1956.

She leaves three sons, James Brown and his wife Lorraine, Thomas Brown and his wife Diane, all of Easthampton, and Philip Brown and his wife Joan of Sarasota, Fla.; one daughter, Monica Labrie of Southampton; one brother, Cedric Domina and his wife Jeannette of Easthampton; her sisters-in-law, Teresa Duffy of New York, Simone Duquette, Georgette Laba, Pauline Cannizzaro and her husband Rosario, Gila Domina, all of Vermont, and Joanne Brown, of Florida; her brother-in-law, George Brown and his wife, Barbara, of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard, Harlan and Gerald Domina; her sisters, Joyce Domina and Theresa Snider; her great-granddaughter, Jennifer Hanlon and her son-in-law, Paul Labrie.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of The Valley Church, 33 Adams St. Burial will be Friday at noon at St. John The Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls, Vt.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
