BAREFOOT BAY, Fla. - Ralph E. Hines, 84, of Baerfoot Bay, Fla., formerly of Northampton, Mass., passed away in Vero Beach, Fla.on Jan. 10, 2013.

Born July 9, 1928, Ralph was the son of Ruth (Rice) and Joseph Hines, attended Springfield schools and was an Army veteran serving in both World War II and Korea.

Ralph was employed at Kollmorgan Corporation in Northampton as a senior program manager for many years.

He was a longtime member of the Disabled American Veterans Post 92 in Northampton, and VFW POST 8006 in Florence, Mass.

Ralph leaves his son, Jeffrey J. Hines of Southampton, Mass.; daughter-in-law Charlotte; grandchildren, Laura Matysiewicz of Chesterfield, Mass., and Michael Matysiewicz of Sanford, Fla; two great-grandsons, Thomas and Landon and many devoted nieces, nephews and friends.

His wife, Corinne (Longtin) Hines, preceded him in 2004 and his daughter, Leslie Matysiewicz in 2001.

The Seawinds Funeral Home, in Sebastian, is in charge of the arrangements.
