DALLAS, TEXAS - William" Bill" H. Perry Jr., 65, passed away suddenly Jan. 25, 2013, after a brief illness.
Bill was born Jan. 8, 1948, in Newton, to William H. Perry Sr. and Frances Moody Perry, who preceded him in death.
Bill graduated from Newton High School in Newton, and Vesper George School of Art in Boston. He received his interior designer certificate from The Texas State Board of Architectural Examiners. He started his career at Lord and Taylor in Boston and Atlanta before moving to Texas in 1974. He used his talent in merchandising design and retail sales at The Market Antiques, Home Furnishings and J.C. Penny. He joined the staff of the Consignment Store in 1994.
After semi-retiring last year, Bill began his house and pet sitting business. He was a true "dog whisperer" and never met a dog he didn't love.
Bill was a talented, creative, friendly, funny soul and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him and whose lives he touched with his talent and friendship.
Bill is survived by his big brother, Charles F. Perry Sr. and his wife Sherrilyn of Southampton; his sister Norma Allen of Henderson, N.C.; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, both human and furry.
A memorial service was held in Dallas, Texas, and burial will take place in Greenland, N.H. in the spring.
The Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton has been entrusted with arrangements.
